On Nelson Mandela Day, during a time of racial and political turbulence, we would like to remind everyone of the importance of historic figures such as Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy and their commitment to overcome institutional racism and injustice. After his release from prison in South Africa, Nelson Mandela established a truth and reconciliation process, forging a path towards unity rather than retribution and conflict. We have been inspired by Nelson Mandela to forge an American Truth and Reconciliation Committee, with the goal of reopening investigations into the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcolm X, and Robert Kennedy, which so dramatically changed the course of American Democracy and led us to where we are today. Please join our initiative and spread the word.
